The Domestic Partner Registry in Phoenix, documents a relationship that allows those involved in a defined domestic relationship to register and thus, be granted access to visit their partner in health care facilities. Currently, access is reserved for family members absent presence on the registry.
The registry does not address issues regarding will beneficiaries, powers of attorney, medical decision making or issues regarding employer benefits or children.
In order to register a domestic partnership in Phoenix, the following must apply:
-both are competent individuals
-you would not be barred from marriage due to blood relations
-neither is married to another person
-both parties are 18 years of age
-both agree that they are each others only domestic partner
-you live together, support each other and intend to maintain the relationship.
